Homefest was started by two small-business families who lived through the hard years — and decided to build something better instead of giving up.
We’re not a faceless warehouse. We’re two ordinary families in south-west Sydney who have spent years running small businesses — the kind with real rent to pay, real stock to move, and real people behind every order.
And like a lot of small businesses, we copped it from every direction. The economic downturns. The COVID years that closed our doors overnight. The retail rents in shopping malls that kept climbing whether customers walked in or not. The never-ending costs of just keeping the lights on. And then the flood of Temu, Shein and Amazon — giants who can undercut anyone, ship from anywhere, and don’t know a single customer’s name.
For a while it felt like the little guy simply couldn’t win. But we didn’t want to close the shutters and walk away. We wanted to prove that a small, local, honest business can still stand tall online — without landing itself in a mountain of dead stock or debt to do it.
Our goal is bigger than one shop. We want to give small businesses a way to showcase and sell online through one shared platform — so a local family business can reach its community without competing head-on with the global giants, and without gambling everything on stock that might not sell.
Homefest is our first trial launch — the proof-of-concept for that idea. Every order you place here helps us show that community-backed, small-business retail can genuinely work.

Reserve for a small deposit. If we can’t source your item, you’re refunded in full — automatically. Simple and fair.
We bring in stock the community actually wants — reserve to join the next batch and we order the moment it fills.
Pay a $1 deposit per item to lock in your spot. Each reservation counts toward the batch — we need 12 locals per item before we order.
Once 12 are reserved we place the wholesale order and send you a payment link for the remaining balance. Fresh from the supplier, never dusty warehouse stock.
Your order ships as soon as the batch lands. If we can't source your item, your deposit is refunded in full — automatically.
